LIFXtend version 0.6 is available for download at: LIFXtend
LIFXshows can now be referenced to the time. For example you can dim your lights automatically at 12:00.
There are some examples included in the download.
I will try to write some articles to explain all the functions of LIFXtend thouroughly as soon as I find time.
LIFXtend will now automatically save all your bulbs and your scenes.
After you change the *.txt file of your scene, you will have to import it again into LIFXtend.
As I cant get the phone apps to work, I have been using this, and it works great.
A query though about speed - is there a hard limit to the speed the bulb can switch from one color to another and back again?
I can understand a lag time between the app and the bulbs response...but is it possible to send "blue blue white blue blue" commands almost straight after each other and get a white flash inbetween blue? or does the bulb itself have some "minimum duration" for each color?
Thanks,
There is no limit as far as I know.
The lag is about 1s, maybe a little bit less.
If you write a LIFXshow, you could do:
0, 1, color, 240, 100, 100, 0
0, 1, color, 240, 0, 100, 0
0, 1, color, 240, 100, 100, 0
The commands will be submitted one after another, so you would get the minimum time.
I just tried it out, the bulbs will flash pretty randomly.
I will implement the posibility for split second delays, that will help with that.
