Another short teaser for LIFXtend version 0.7: Candle LIFX.
This command, on repeat, is all you need for some nice candle light:
[0.2-0.5], 1, color, [35-45], [70-100], [30-100], [2000-100000]
Delay between 0.2 and 0.5 seconds, hue between 35-45°. Saturation between 70 and 100%, Brightness between 30 and 100% and switch over time between very short and not so short (there is no good way to really calculate the switch over time, just try and error).
Here the mandatory Video:
btw...did you noticed, that LIFX team released their official LIFX API for some platforms few days ago?
Randomness and decimal support for length adds a lot more potential!
I did take a look at it, but it won't really help me.
My whole networking code has not changed since version 0.3 or so, and it is pretty complete (at last for what I want to do).
The whole rest is just making the use of the bulbs easier, nothing an API could help.
Version 0.7 is not released yet, I have been busy and it still needs some bugs fixed. These commands will work as soon as version 0.7 of LIFXtend is released (estimated this weekend).
Nate
first thanks for this great tool!
I really use it a lot for my bulbs.
I got a question/request:
Could you please make the parameters of the "LIFXcl color"-command optional?
I'd like to just set the brightness without touching the color itself.
So I could let the lights fade out slowly and go back on slowly regardless of the color, that has previously been set.
