Credit goes to Kevin Bowman aka magicmonkey for his amazing work
dissecting the communication between controller and bulb
Credit goes to Philip Wheat, I learned a lot reading through his code on GitHub.
Compatibility:
- Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1
- bulbs have to be in the same network
Known Issues:
- on first launch firewall permission is required
- if LIFXtend fails to find any bulbs, check if your bulbs are powered
- if all fails try to disable not needed networking devices on your computer, such as LAN/WWAN/NFC
- if you have a big setup it might only control some of the lights
Planned Features:
- create groups of bulbs and control them together
- save settings
- minimize to tray
- autostart
- control with keyboard short cuts
- create scenes
- create "light shows" (time controlled scenes)
- calibrate individual bulbs
- change color in relation to time of day (like f.lux)
- change color in relation to display (think ambilight)
- change color in relation to music
